Vous vous souvenez de mon jean skinny boyfriend rose? Je l’ai porté avec plaisir au printemps et en été. Et je trouvais dommage de le ranger au fin fond de mon armoire pour l’automne. Le voici donc dans sa version réchauffée, avec pour mission d’apporter un flash de couleur dans la tenue. Je l’ai agrémenté d’un manteau moumoute noir qui , je pense , me servira bien cet hiver lorsque les températures se décideront à descendre davantage. Son aspect peluche est une sorte de crossover entre Chewbacca et un tapis de salle de bain. Ça le rend follement glamour, décrit comme ça mais pas grave, je l’aime quand même!

Remember my pink skinny boyfriend jeans? I enjoyed wearing it over spring and summer time. And I thought it would be a shame to put it in the back of my closet for the fall. So here it is in its warmed-up version, with the mission to bring a flash of color to the outfit. I complemented it with a fluffy black coat that will be very helpful this winter I think, when temperatures will decide to go further down. Its plush aspect is a sort of crossover between Chewbacca and a bathroom carpet. Describing it that way makes it amazingly glamour but never mind, I like it anyway! (English translation by LN)

Horses again

Jamais 2 sans 3! Le proverbe se confirme. Après la jupe, le foulard, voici la robe à imprimé chevaux! Vous allez croire que je suis une grande passionnée des sports équestres, que mon meilleur ami est Jolly Jumper mais il n’en est rien: j’ai tout simplement craqué sur la coupe un peu rétro de cette robe et sur sa couleur. Et les chevaux, je les ai adoptés avec!

Sinon, je réagis peut-être un peu tard mais j’ai eu le plaisir d’apprendre que magazine Elle m’a sélectionnée pour le Grand Prix des Blogueuses 2011 dans la catégorie Mode et il me semble que le prix sera attribué à…. « Judith Godrèche… M****! Pardon! Je suis désolée!… Judith Henry pour la Discrète ! »… durant le mois de Décembre. En gros si j’ai bien compris, ce prix regroupe 11 autres catégories (= cuisine, voyage, beauté entre autres) et le magazine Elle décernera le blog gagnant dans chaque catégorie. Un prix des internautes sera également décerné au blog ayant remporté le plus grand nombre de suffrages toutes catégories confondues. Je souhaite donc bonne chance à tous les blogs en lice et merci à ceux qui m’ont envoyé (ou m’enverront) leur petit coeur: Bien sûr que ça me touche!

On this blog, horses always come in threes! After the skirt and the snood, here’s the horse print dress! You’re going to think I’m really a big fan of all things equestrian and of My Little Pony, but it’s none of all that really : I just totally fell for the retro cut of this dress and its color. So I adopted the horses too!

On an unrelated matter, I might be reacting a tad late to the news, but I’ve had the pleasure of finding out that Elle magazine has nominated me in the fashion section of their 2011 Blog Awards. The prize is to be awarded in December. If I understand the whole concept, the competition includes 11 other categories (=food, travel, beauty…among others) and Elle magazine will designate a winner in each one of those. There will also be a reader’s choice award for the blog who’ll have collected the most votes, all categories combined. So good luck to all the competing blogs, and thank you to all those of you who have already sent (or will send) their little heart vote, it means a lot to me! (English translation by Bleu Marine)

Mon absence ici ces derniers jours est due à un événement non négligeable: J’ai enfin bouclé ma BD!!!!! Ouiiiiiiiiiii! On n’y croyait plus! Toutes mes planches ont été fraîchement envoyées à « Guigui », le graphiste de ma maison d’édition. Je lui délègue donc la lourde responsabilité de vérifier la mise en page, d’ajuster le tout afin que vous puissiez me lire bien facilement lorsque vous l’aurez dans les mains, et s’en suivra la lourde responsabilité de l’imprimeur afin que vous puissiez effleurer la douceur de ses 96 pages en Février 2012!

D’ici là, on brûle un cierge pour que tout se passe bien, je vais tenter de récupérer mes heures de sommeil en retard, me réhabituer à la vie extérieure, revoir mes amis qui me croient disparue, ne plus effrayer le facteur lorsque je lui ouvrirai la porte, faire du VRAI shopping dans un VRAI magasin avec de FAUX miroirs… bref, vivre! Merci à ceux qui m’ont soutenue et vécu avec moi le marathon de ces derniers mois sur Facebook et Twitter (oui oui, le parfum de glace situé page 78 vous sera entièrement dédié!)… Maintenant, on croise les doigts, il n’y a plus qu’à attendre le résultat!

My absence here over the past days is due to a significant event: I’ve finally finished up my comic book!!!!! Yesssssss! Hard to believe, isn’t it! All pages have just freshly been sent to « Guigui », the graphic designer at my publisher’s. I hereby delegate to him the heavy responsibility for verifying the layout and adjusting it all so you can easily read me when you have the book in your hands, and then will follow the heavy responsibility of the printer so you can skim and feel the softness of its 96 pages in February 2012!

Until then, let’s burn a candle for everything to go well, and I will try to catch up on those missed hours of sleep, get used to the outside life again, see again my friends who think I went missing, stop scaring the mailman when I open the door for him, do some REAL shopping in a REAL shop with some FAKE mirrors… in short, just live! Thanks to those of you who gave me support and lived with me this marathon on Facebook and Twitter these last months (yes, yes, the ice cream flavour on page 78 will be entirely dedicated to you!)… Now fingers crossed, let’s just wait for the result!
