I particularly like the month of August in Paris because the calm reigns in the capital. The only downside is that my favorite restaurants are closed but let’s say that it gives me some motivation to cook!

I won’t have any vacations (I don’t mind travelling off-season) and, except a few weekends, August will be rather studious.

So I had the idea to go on holidays vicariously by imaging the content of a bag for a sea side trip.

This year we can’t complain about not having a real summer season! As for me, any trick to stay cool and reveal the minimum skin possible (you know, to avoid getting tan) is welcomed:

So I opted this time for a long dress, in the same line as my large and flowing pants, perfect compromise between a cool and chic summer look and a minimal solar exposure. Happiness!

After spending some time in the Lozère-Aveyron area, I made my way back to Paris a couple days ago and then left again last weekend to party with friends in Auvergne (the A71 road no longer holds any secrets from me!)

The evening’s dress code was “Chic-but-do-what-you-want-the-point-is-just-to-have-fun”: so I started the evening off with a very “Valentino-lace” outfit, but changed into jeans and sneakers at dawn to go all saturday night (or sunday morning) fever on the dancefloor.

If you’re following me on Instagram, you got a feel of the party’s atmosphere : my friend Lionel had set up a wig bar, and it was a genius idea; we all ended up being in turn Geri Halliwell, Baby Spice, Mylène Farmer, Dave, David Ghetta, Jean-Michel Jarre, Princess Anna from Frozen and… best part of the show: an incredibly realistic acrobatic Sia.
