501CT

Levi’s®  did it again ! I remember my first bleached 501 that I was wearing in high school while watching Beverly Hills 90210 on Saturday afternoons: the straight cut by excellence that I dropped a few years back in favour of the slim but am always up for the return of the boyfriend jeans.

Actually, I often tried to modify my 501’s by chopping them, rolling up the bottom legs, or even cutting them into shorts (It goes like this= I screw up the cut at the knee, so I solve it by cutting them into shorts).

Levi’s®  must have got wind of my lack of talents in DIY because they got me to try out their last model, the 501CT, that is inspired by the torturous moments I inflicted on my 501’s: the cut is tighter at the bottom of the leg, the fraying is ‘simply perfect’ at the knee in order to modernise it and make it cool.

And the little added extra is that you get to style it in 3 different ways depending on the size you choose. Demonstration !

Smaller size

 “501 CT” jeans Levi’s®
Shirt Levi’s® (Men collection)
Trench Zara
BagK/Kuilted” Karl Lagerfeld
Hat Filipo Catarzi pour ASOS
Loafers Comptoir des Cotonniers
Bracelets Dinh Van, Mya Bay & Les Poinçonneurs (already seen here)

If you get it smaller you get a skinny boyfriend jean, hugging the legs. Perfect for a preppy look that is not too safe.

My size

“501 CT” jeans Levi’s®
Biker jacket Paul & Joe Sister
Top Soft Grey
Sneakers “Superstar” Adidas (& in red here)
Leather clutch Topshop

A classic straight cut for a casual look best matched with trainers and leather biker jacket.

Oversized

 “501 CT” jeans Levi’s®
Bombers jacket April, May (already seen here)
Sheer top Vila
Clutch Molly Bracken
Shoes Topshop Unique

The boyfriend jeans is in effect when you choose a size (or two) too big. To dampen the relaxed look, I wear it with heels and a satin bombers jacket.

So ? Which version do you prefer ? (English translation by TradIsa)

Micro note for the weekend to tell you that I have just found the ideal espadrilles for the warmer days: they are leather, comfortable and in the same spirit as the Chanel ones we saw a few seasons past but without the logo and especially without the price that goes with the logo. Ultimate satisfaction. (English translation by TradIsa)
