She’s got the look ! #17

· Fashion, Illustration, She's got the look !

I just realized that the last “She’s got the look!” I posted dates back to last January! Wow! Time sure flies! I’m drawing a lot for work lately, but I haven’t been very regular with illustrations on the blog … so sorry!

That said, I did try and take the time today to post our traditional “guess who?” with a young woman we all know.

She’s not a blogger, but I think I could probably draw a hundred of her looks – that’s how inspiring she is. I decided on the one you see here because I found it illustrated the simplicity I’m trying to reach style wise. Feminine yet not too much, elegant but not stuck up…There are a couple clues in the drawing … it’s too easy! (English translation by Marine)

2015/10/19 Edit : Congrats (almost) everyone ! It also Alexa Chung indeed ! (at the Topshop Unique SS16 show ) : Special congrats to Sophia who was the first to find the good answer !

The basics

· Fashion

The weather is seriously getting colder but I can’t scrap on the beautiful days. Here is why I’ve opted for this cream-colored 100% wool coat which illuminates a little (and warms up a lot) these autumnal days.

Underneath, I am wearing a breton shirt but this time it is a sweatshirt! I found it in the Maison Standards store in Bastille, dragged by my friends Lionel and Sylvain who kept saying they were buying their basics there and “you’ll see it’s super nice”.

I got convinced by the warm welcoming and the selection of clothes: nice cuts and fabrics at reasonable prices. I would say that in term of quality/design it’s close to APC but prices are much lower.

Do you know any good addresses to buy basics? Tell me everything! (English translation by Quiterie)

Double poncho

· Fashion

I really like convertible clothes. This poncho is included since I can choose between wearing it with or without a belt and it is reversible: Black/Prince of Wales check or Prince of Wales check/ Black, as you wish.

It can be also adapted with all my outfits: today I decided to wear it in a “Pan flutist/chic” way, but I already have ideas to match it with boots/cowboy boots (“Pan flutist vs. Clint Eastwood in the Far West”), or in a more city-dweller way with my Stan Smiths (“Pan flutist who heads down the mountain to the city with a skateboard”).

I think this cloak-poncho will reveal multiple facets. To follow this season! (English translation by Quiterie)
