I am sorry that I haven’t updated the blog much lately but this year I’ve decided to enjoy and relax during the festive period. I will most probably take a break between Christmas and New Year Eve (everything will depend on my other work projects) but you will be able to follow me on Instagram anyway.

However, I had to share with you a few news and especially about my living room and my Christmas tree we installed this weekend!

 

News about the living room

With all the work done in our apartment you can see that we changed all the layout, removed a lot of things and create a real dining area, which I will talk about more in details later.

Today, here are only a few glances at our living room (= in front of and next to our couch). It only misses a some adjustments for the decoration but the biggest part is done! Finally!

For this year, we chose a smaller tree compared to the previous years but with a similar decoration.

I might try to get new elements to hang but I’ve been actually quite busy to find curtain references or kitchen tap, so I haven’t had much chance to find new Christmas decoration.

What a pleasure to finally be able to see the end of this work started in August and to enjoy the cozy spirit of holiday season! And especially because my SO and I got our Christmas gift a bit earlier: a new TV we had dreamt about for many years.

Indeed, we got the previous one more than 10 years ago (plasma screen= not on sales anymore nowadays) and it had really started to get old.

Therefore we decided to purchase a qualitative one, so it could last long, offer a good image, perfect sound and nice design. We went to quite a few shops and there was always something missing.

The only one that gathered all our – picky – requirements (let’s admit it) is this one : perfect timeless design, with golden frame and wooden details, it goes perfectly with our interior and offers high standing quality.

I was already very happy about my portable bluetooth speaker from the same brand, which I received from my S.O from Christmas 2 years ago. As for now, our new TV has kept all the promises.

I will give you more long term feedbacks. I know it’s an investment, but it guarantees warm nights by the fireside.. in Ultra HD! (English translation by Quiterie)

I hope you are preparing well the coming festive holidays. On my side, I don’t have my Christmas tree yet (I hope this weekend!) nevertheless the Christmas spirit is already here.

Christmas tea and playlist on, I just found out that we only have two week left before the D-Day. No stress… but I need to start !

This weekend, we tried to risk ourselves for some shopping in order to find some Christmas gifts. You will tell me that I can also order them online but we wanted to feel that ambiance we can’t really convey with a computer.

 

The Christmas decorations magic

Regarding the windows and decorations I thought that “Les Galeries Lafayette” were winning from far the battle against Printemps, even though some of their windows were a also magical (for instance the shoes flying in front of the Eiffel Tower).

The “funfair” spirit at each floor of the Galeries even surprised my SO who, in front of the big “Candy crush” Christmas Tree screamed “Ahhh! The candies are moving!” (= back to childhood: 6 years old again).

 

Dressed up for winter

In terms of look for this Christmas window-shopping, with this freezing weather, I decided to wear this big twisted pullover which I’ve got from last year and I really recommend for its warmness and its good shape.

Some news about my eyelash: it’s finally over, I removed the dreamy “Russian volume” extensions that I was wearing for almost a year.. Verdict: my true eyelash haven’t suffered too much: I still have some! (the intensive Revitalash treatment must have helped as well!)

Immediately after, to comfort me after loosing my sweet eyes, the “Les cils de Marie” institute offered me the possibility to try their new treatment: the intense nutrition lash lift which includes, the curve, eyelash dye and nourishing treatment.

My eyelash are obviously not as thick as with an extension but I’m quite happy of the result: with or without mascara, my eyelash are visible and with a nice curve. An early Christmas present…!

 

PS : I’ve been told that during all month of December there will be a “Les cils de marie” corner at the BHV Marais to try out for free the eyelash extensions during a 15min session: you will be able to get an idea of what I’ve been telling you for months! (English translation by Quiterie)
