Je sais que ça n’a aucun rapport avec la mode mais j’aime aussi partager avec vous mes sources d’inspiration, peu importe le domaine. Depuis le 6 Septembre, je n’écoute que cet album en boucle (via Spotify pour l’instant puisque l’album « physique » ne sort en France que le 11 Octobre apparemment). Je vous avais déjà fait part de mon coup de coeur pour ce groupe de Manchester il y a quelque temps, avec la chanson « Wonderful Life », un opus qui me donne la nostalgie des années 80: synthétiseur, clip à l’esthétique épurée presque chirurgicale, danseuses aux gestes saccadés un peu kitsch  et cette pointe de glamour que sait insuffler le chanteur Theo Hutchcraft. Je suis vraiment sensible à l’univers du groupe ( et au regard intense de Theo j’avoue!): Cette austérité apparente qui flirte avec une certaine classe dandy. Il est difficile de convertir quelqu’un en matière de goûts musicaux et certains seront peut être insensible à ces mélodies mais je tenais à faire un billet sur les sonorités qui m’accompagnent ces jours-ci et qui j’en suis sûre, ont une influence sur ma manière de percevoir le monde et  rendent ma vie un peu plus wonderful.

I know this has nothing to do with fashion, but I also enjoy sharing my inspiration sources with you, whatever they may be. Since the 6th of September, I have been listening to this album over and over again (with Spotify for the moment, since the album will only be out in France on October 11th). I had already shared my big crush for this Manchester band with you a while ago with « Wonderful Life », a song that gets me all nostalgic about the 80s : the synthesizer, the almost surgically pure aesthetic of the video, the slightly kitsch jerky moves of the dancers, and this hint of glamour that the singer, Theo Hutchcraft knows just how to instill. I am truly sensitive to the band’s universe (and to Theo’s intense gaze, I confess!): this apparent austerity that flirts with a certain dandy class. It is very hard to convert someone when it comes to musical tastes, and some of you will probably be immune to these melodies, but I wanted to post something about the sounds that are accompanying me these days, and that are influencing, I’m sure, my perception of the world, making my life just a little bit more « wonderful ».(English translation by Bleu Marine)

Vous avez suivi cet été ma recherche de LA tenue de mariage: j’ai finalement opté pour la combipantalon et je ne regrette pas ce choix puisque je me suis sentie bien à l’aise pendant toute la fête et le petit plus, c’est que je peux reporter cette tenue de soirée maintenant! Je l’ai donc remise ici de manière la plus décontractée possible , ce qui lui donne une autre allure. Les bonnes vieilles Converse de derrière les fagots ressorties pour l’occasion et le gilet gris drapé pour ne pas tomber dans « le noir c’est noir ». Je cogite dès à présent les différentes combinaisons pour cette combinaison. Je l’imagine bien avec mes pirate boots noires, un pull court par dessus et ‘une cape en laine pour l’hiver… Par contre , il faudra certainement que je cogite aussi un moyen pour ne pas avoir à aller au petit coin…

You followed me this summer in my search for THE wedding outfit: I finally choose a jumpsuit and I don’t regret it because I felt very comfortable during the whole party and as a little extra, I can wear it again now. So I put it back on in a much more relaxed way, which gave it a new look. With some good old converse from way back and the grey drape cardigan so as not to fall into the « all black » group. From now on I am thinking about new and suitable ways to use this jumpsuit. I can already see it with my black pirate boots, a short jumper on top of it and a wool cloak for winter… On the other hand, I will most probably have to think about a way to not have to go to the loo…(English translation by Charlotte B)

Et voilà mon deuxième pantalon carotte ramené du Portugal! Il est identique au beige que je vous avais montré la dernière fois. Eh oui! Lors de ma session shopping lisboète, j’ai pris les deux, hésitant aussi avec le kaki mais faisant preuve une grande maîtrise de moi-même, j’ai su me retenir (=le kaki n’était plus dispo dans ma taille). En tous cas, dans la rue, je n’arrête pas de croiser des demoiselles avec ce fameux pantalon carotte: au moins une fois par jour, je croise ces plis, cette coupe  et bizarrement, je ne me lasse pas de ce pantalon multicloné. Il faut dire que c’est une pièce assez basique , ce n’est pas comme si je croisais quelqu’un avec la même robe à motifs « petits chimpanzés bleus sur fond vert fluo » que moi  (non, je ne possède pas cette robe… elle vous faisait envie hein?). En fait, ça donne même un petit côté « signe de ralliement » assez sympathique: toutes unies pour le pantalon carotte!… Noble cause en effet: la cause du popotin à l’aise. Peut-être allez-vous vous rallier à ma cause « petit blazer en molleton gris » puisqu’il fait aussi son apparition aujourd’hui…

And I present to you : my second pair of carrot pants from Portugal! They are identical to the beige ones I showed you last time. Yes, exactly! During my Lisboan shopping session, I took the two pairs. I almost took the khaki one too, but displaying great self-control, I resisted (understand : the khaki wasn’t available in my size anymore).Anyway, walking through the streets, all I have been seeing lately are ladies in these famous carrot pants : the folds, the cut, I see at least once a day, and oddly enough, I have yet to tire of those multi-cloned pants. Of course, it is a pretty basic piece, it’s not like if I came across someone wearing the exact same dress with the « little blue chimpanzees on the electric green background » I was (no, I do not own such a dress … you would have liked that wouldn’t you?). Actually, this even gives for a sort of fun « rallying sign » : all girls united for the carrot pants! … Such a noble cause indeed is that of the comfort of our rear end. Maybe will you also rally to my « little gray duffel blazer » cause since it is also appearing today for the first time … (English translation by Bleu Marine)
