Currently, I’m preparing my summer holidays. Well, I must say last year I didn’t have to prepare anything since I was working on “Globe-trotteuses” behind closed doors, nose to the grindstone, with almost no contact with the outside world. This year I decided I had to disconnect, go far away, discover new horizons… to honor the title of my book… at last.
I don’t know when I will go but I think that my choice will be Thailand. Summer may not be the best time to go since it will be rainy season there but I think that the weather is anyway so disrupted that I will always make it to find a piece of blue sky (and in worst case I’ll make the most of my H&M ponchos). Having skimmed through a few guides, admired photos of local temples and landscapes, I’m sure that even with the rain it would have its charm.
As I’m in the middle of “concocting” a holiday program (for a couple of weeks I think), I’d need your advice if you ever had the opportunity to visit Thailand. What should I not miss and absolutely visit? Can I hope to go up north, to Bangkok and its surroundings, to the beaches of Leo Di Caprio within that period of time? I must admit, I’m a little lost and today, as those dear 3T used to say, I need you. (English translation by LN)
