In the continuity of my previous post about the combo pink/grey/white, I found this trend during my Pinterest peregrinations.
In South Korea (and maybe somewhere else?), the “Similar look” (extension of the “Twin look” with many people) is something that groups of friends love doing (so far I only found pictures with only girls but we can imagine the same with boys & girls).
Basically, people must wear the same color tones as their friends when going out for a drink, for a walk, etc. The local Girl bands must influence this trend a lot.
Perfect match !
I must admit that it happens sometimes with my friends (without prior consultation of course! haha!) but it’s never premeditated, or only when we go to a special event, just for fun.
The benefit of this discovery, is the ability to admire only with one picture a dozen of looks with the same color harmony, which is very inspiring.
On the other side, if this trend happens to be real (I’ve never seen that in the streets of Seoul), I just hope these friends only follow this trend occasionally, otherwise, how alienating !
Over here, the tendency is rather toward uniqueness and own personality (even though with blogs or Instagram, we tend somehow to be all clones, me included) but is it something you would like seeing in France?
On my side, I’m divided between fascination (hello Control Freak) and a certain fear… (English translation by Quiterie)
