Macarons Hello Kitty x Ladurée
Le bon : Une collaboration qui semblait évidente : macarons + Japon + Paris= une grande histoire d’amour… Il fallait bien que Hello Kitty vienne mettre son museau là-dedans ! Je pensais être plus ou moins sevrée de Hello Kitty mais c’est impossible de lui résister, surtout avec de jolies boîtes comme ça, qui me serviront sans doute par la suite de boîtes à bijoux.
Cela m’a permis de découvrir les nouveaux macarons printaniers : Fleur de cerisier, banane-chocolat et pistache guimauve, mon préféré puisque l’intérieur du macaron est tout chamallow !
The good : an evident collaboration: macaroons + Japan + Paris=a great love story… of course Hello Kitty had to be a part of all this ! I thought I was pretty much over Hello Kitty, but it’s quite impossible to resist, especially with such cute boxes as these, that most probably will end up being used as jewelry boxes.
It also got me to discover the new spring macaroons: Cherry blossom, banana-chocolate and pistachio-marshmallow, the last being my favorite, since the inside of the macaroon is all marshmallow!

Le beau : enfin beau , ça dépend pour qui … mais moi je les trouve belles mes deux nouvelles acquisitions : Une veste en jean que bizarrement je n’avais pas dans mon placard, sauf en version officier. Là c’est la version toute simple à porter sur n’importe quelle tenue.Une veste en jean quoi.
Et ces mocassins à franges ( Ahh les franges, on en était toutes folles en 2008 hein ?). Le confort absolu et une touche de Joe l’indien à ses pieds, ça ne fait pas de mal.
The beautiful : well, that depends for whom … but I personally find my two new acquisitions beautiful: a jeans jacket, a piece that oddly, had never yet found its way into my closet, except in officer version. This is the very simple version, that you can wear with any outfit.
And these fringed mocassins (Ahh, the fringes, we used to be so mad about those in 2008, don’t you remember?) Absolute comfort and a hint of Joe the Indian on one’s feet…you can never go wrong with that.

Le son : mon coup de coeur du moment : Grapes. Un son très pop rock british ( pas du tout electro pour une fois, contrairement à mes craquages précédents pour Hurts, Yuksek et Monarchy) et pourtant ce quatuor rafraîchissant originaire du Havre est bien de chez nous ! C’est bien simple, je n’ai écouté QUE ça durant mes longs trajets en train ces derniers temps.
Pour tout vous dire, je les ai découverts grâce à mon ami Jérémie (alias Blackmint pepper). Vous vous souvenez de la photo « côté obscur » qu’il avait faite de moi ? Eh bien lorsqu’il ne photographie pas mon côté obscur, il photographie celui des bananes et sa photo est devenue la pochette de l’album de Grapes : Plutôt cool !
Du coup, ça m’a poussé à écouter leur album « Some kinds of happiness » et j’ai ai été séduite par ces mélodies pop-rock-folk avec, je trouve, quelques influences Beatles ou Travis ( Tiens, d’ailleurs que sont-ils devenus Travis ?)
Mes chansons préférées sont « So fine » que vous pouvez écouter ci-dessous, « Heart to drown » et « Earl grey city » (avec la participation de Mickey Quinn de Supergrass). Pour l’instant, leur album n’est disponible qu’à la FNAC du Havre ou via la page Facebook du groupe mais c’est une pépite qui ne demande qu’à être partagée.
The sound : My crush of the moment: Grapes. A very british pop-rock sound (not at all electro for once, contrarily to my previous crushes for Hurts, Yuksek and Monarchy) and yet this refreshing quatuor from Le Havre is all French! It’s simple, I have been listening to this music EXCLUSIVELY during my long train rides lately.
To tell you the whole story, I discovered them thanks to my friend Jérémie (alias Blackmint Pepper). Do you remember the « dark side » picture he had taken of me ? Well, when he’s not taking pics of my dark side, he’s taking pictures of banana’s dark side, and this picture ended up on Grapes’ album cover : pretty cool !
So it got me listening to their album « Some kinds of happiness » and I was taken by those pop-rolk-folk melodies of which I find that they have hints of Beatles or Travis influences. (By the way, what happened to Travis ?)
My favorite songs are « So fine » that you can listen to below, « Heart to drown » and « Earl grey city » (with the participation of Mickey Quinn of Supergrass). For the moment, their album is only available at the Fnac du Havre or via the bands’ Facebook page, but it’s really a gem to be shared. (English translation by Bleu Marine)
