J’espère que vous passez de très bonnes fêtes de Noël et que vous les digérez bien… En effet, qui dit Noël dit repas de fêtes ! Justement, hier soir, Typhaine, Louise, Adeline et moi avions décidé de nous retrouver autour d’un bon repas dans un restaurant asiatique du 13ème (bon, j’avoue qu’il y a plus traditionnel comme endroit pour fêter Noël mais bon… on ne résiste pas à l’appel du canard laqué et des dim sum!) : repas parfait, rigolade, ambiance festive… jusqu’au moment de l’addition où la serveuse nous apporte des fortune cookies…

Ricanant sur les prédictions toujours triviales dans ce genre de gâteaux, nous ouvrons chacune délicatement le notre avant d’en croquer une bouchée…. Et ce matin, ÉNORME SURPRISE en me regardant dans la glace !!!! Je vous laisse constater ma transformation mais il me semble qu’il est arrivé la même chose à mes comparses ici, ici et là… Quelqu’un a-t-il un antidote dans la salle ?

I hope you had a great Christmas holiday and that you’re digesting all the food well … for Christmas equates holiday feasts! In fact, no later than yesterday evening, Typhaine, Louise, Adeline and myself had decided to gather around a good meal in an asian restaurant in the 13th arrondissement (I’ll admit it’s not your typical Christmas venue, but well…it’s hard to resist Beijing duck and dim sum!): perfect meal, lots of laughs and a very festive atmosphere…up to the moment where the waitress brought the check, along with some fortune cookies…

Laughing about the commonplace predictions that come with those cookies, we all opened our delicately before taking a bite…And this morning, HUGE SURPRISE when I looked into the mirror!!!!!!! I’ll let you note my transformation, but it seems the same thing happened to my girlfriends here, here and here…Does anyone have an antidote? (English translation by Bleu Marine)

Voici le moment de vous souhaiter un bon réveillon et un très Joyeux Noël plein de bonnes surprises et de mets délicieux ! À l’heure qu’il est, je suis en Auvergne pour savourer le calme (mais aussi des chocolats, la bûche, la dinde… bref que du léger et délicat).

Je vous souhaite plein de bons moments auprès de vos proches : on se retrouve très vite pour voir si on a survécu à cette avalanche de trop bonnes choses !

Burgundy lipstick

Je cherchais depuis un moment un rouge à lèvres de couleur bordeaux. Mais pas n’importe quel bordeaux : du bordeaux pas trop rosé et assez sombre sans pour autant glisser vers le look dark-gothique. En gros, un rouge à lèvres qui s’harmoniserait parfaitement avec mon bonnet et les rayures de mon pull.

I had been looking for a burgundy lipstick for a while. Not just any kind of burgundy though: not too pinkish, and dark enough without going toward a dark gothic look. In short, a lipstick that would perfectly harmonize with my beanie and the stripes of my sweater.

Moi qui ne suis absolument pas une experte en maquillage (je tourne avec 2 rouges à lèvres), je me suis dirigée vers la valeur sûre : Rouge Coco de Chanel, teinte Rivoli 21. Je teste sur ma main, je compare avec la couleur du bonnet que j’avais emmené au magasin pour l’occasion. C’est raccord. Hop ! Adopté !

For someone like me who is absolutely not a makeup expert (I usually switch between 2 lipsticks), I went for the safe bet: Chanel’s Rouge Coco, shade Rivoli 21. I test it on my hand, I compare with the color of the beanie I brought with me to the shop for the occasion. It fits! Hop! Adopted! (English translation by LN)
